So last year, I got hooked by the idea of Knitting for the Bees. Seasalt shops in Cornwall were asking for donations of knitted (and I assumed crocheted – that’s what I sent!) items to sell and raise money to help save bees. I sent along some scarves:
This year, they’re raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Cafes. I got a very nice letter from Helen Rowe, asking for knitted Christmas decorations. (Again, I’m assuming crocheted ones are welcome too!) So, these are about to wing their way to Cornwall:

- Personality Catwalk I have a lot of earrings. I'm not really a necklace sort of person, and bracelets annoy me, but earrings - well, that's something I can get excited about. I don't have any that are very valuable (no money for that, and besides, I'd be petrified of losing one)......
- The Fear of Finishing So, I have this project. It's sitting patiently in its bag, waiting to be finished. In fact, all I have to do is seam it up, add some buttons, and stuff it. It is, in fact, a pillow from the PillowTalk Collection available from StitchDiva. The problem is, I'm afraid......
- And life goes on So, as of the end of this month, I will be officially unemployed. I resigned as of the end of August, and my last paycheque will be coming through then. (I love that I live in the UK and my computer just corrected my spelling of paycheque...) I've been surfing......
- Displaced Moose is open for business! So, I decided that since we had to spend over £500 for a new fridge freezer today (to quote the repair man, ours is 'cream-crackered'...), I thought maybe I'd try to make a little extra money, so I've stepped up the opening of Displaced Moose - to today! Come in......
- I just did something crazy. No, really, I did. I just entered the draw to be on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square for an hour as part of Antony Gormley's installation artwork One and Other. If I get drawn in the next round I could have a spot any time in September - and......
