- iPad vs CBeebies - Media platforms and small children Yesterday and today have been indoor sorts of days - lots of rain, and with two children under the age of 2, there's not a lot to do indoors, especially since I'm stuck to the sofa quite a lot feeding the baby. So, sometimes against my better judgement, I've been......

- Sleep, that knits up the ravell'd sleave of care.... * According to Google Images, this is what a Sleeping Child should look like: Isn't it lovely? Isn't it wonderful? A Gift
Today – today was full of puppets and food and WAHHHH and argh and ‘Mummy…’ and cake and outside and yarn and oh no not again and broken glass and quick quick and slow down and can’t you put your own toys away?? and don’t bite that! and dishes and cuddles and being afraid of Thomas the Tank Engine (???) and finally, sleep.
There are no sounds but the sleepy sighs through the baby monitor, the ticking of the clock, and the tapping on the keyboard. There is silence and peace and reflection and Facebook and blogging and a sneaky biscuit or two and all the things that bring sanity and calm. There may be tea later, but there might also just be a squooshy duvet and sleep sleep sleep.
I’d like more of these, please…
